The current situation regarding the coronavirus COVID-19 and the imposed restrictions is a major challenge for the world. This is why the German Federal Government is relaxing border controls from Saturday, 16 May. From 15 June, completely free border traffic without controls will then be possible again. The EU Commission is also presenting initial proposals on how travel within the European Union should work in view of the upcoming holiday season.
