Manufacturer's warranty for roof boxes
KAMEI GmbH grants you a guarantee on KAMEI roof boxes in addition to the statutory warranty rights.
The warranty period is 6 years for exclusively private use, and 1 year for use that also includes commercial and/or professional use.
The period for calculating the warranty period begins on the invoice date of the initial purchase of the product. Warranty services rendered do not extend the warranty period, nor do they initiate a new warranty.
1) The warranty covers the absence of defects in the roof box, including functionality, material or manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover any further claims for damages against KAMEI. Should a defect or similar issue occur during the warranty period, KAMEI will provide you with one of the following services under this warranty, at the discretion of KAMEI:
- free repair of the goods or
- free exchange of the goods / component
Replaced parts and products become the property of KAMEI.
2) Warranty claims are excluded in the case of damage to the goods caused by:
- normal wear and tear, including cosmetic defects such as scratches or discoloration;
- improper handling/stress or incorrect use;
- Failure to observe safety precautions;
- Attempting repairs on your own;
- Force majeure.
The following parts are defined as wear parts:
Gas springs, roof box locks, hinges, luggage racks, seals of all kinds.
3) In the event of a warranty claim, please contact your KAMEI specialist dealer or KAMEI as the warranty provider:

KAMEI reserves the right to make the acceptance of any warranty claims dependent on the submission of a machine-generated proof of purchase (copy sufficient) showing the date of purchase and the type designation.
4) The geographical scope of the guarantee protection is Europe-wide.
5) This guarantee does not limit your statutory rights under the concluded purchase contract. This guarantee promise does not affect any existing statutory warranty rights.
